We’ve left New York behind and flew to Phoenix. This time we flew with US Airways, which charge now per baggage item about 25 bucks. So not funny.
And while I never liked any airplane food, I at least always appreciated the distraction of the whole process of being served and figuring out what exactly the “food” was supposed to be. But US Airways doesn’t serve any food on the almost 7 hour long flight and I for sure didn’t want to pay extra for the styrofoam they called sandwich. So the flight was horribly uneventful and dull but somehow -brave travelers that we are- we made it through.
We then immediately went to our hotel, where we had rented a pool side suite and we went for a swim. Unfortunately there was a bit of a cold snap (only about 22°C – some commiseration here, please) so we mostly stayed in the heated part of the pool.
In the evening we had a very charming and delicious and above all quiet dinner at “Roy’s“, since Keagan had fallen asleep upon our arrival there.
