Susanna and I are big fans of places where the gourmet restaurants are combined with beautiful hotels and Hotel Riva clearly delivers in that area. We were really impressed with the creative dishes of Dirk Hoberg and his team. Every single dish surprised us with harmonic, not overwhelming flavor combinations that still were out of the ordinary. The place itself is a beautiful old villa directly at the lake. I would love to come back to experience this place on a warm summer evening where one can sit outside… My favorite was the pikeperch with a wonderful brown butter hollandaise and a sweet juice of red onions. What a treat!
